“Morning” emerged out of Michael’s first ambient recordings. It was also his first piece using the Serge synthesizer provided by fellow Continuum musician Kevin Braheny.
“Jewel” was recorded using a micro-tonally tuned vibraphone designed and built by Erv Wilson. To create the ‘cloud like’ washes of tones, Michael faded in the microphone after striking the bars on the instrument. This recording was then slowed down to enhance the atmospheric sound
